Portugal All the way – their biggest win

What a match it was to witness the quality of gaming from the portugal team. The koreans on the other hand didnt even have a minute to cheer for their efforts in the match. The most busy player in that match is the korean goal keeper, unfortunately could not save much. Portugal definitely got the best out of their combination. As a Chirstiano Ronaldo fan it would be the biggest day because after a real gap of 24 months, he broke the ice and scored the goal. He is a legend, and i really hope this gives the much needed start for him.

Portugal also slammed all the critics who portrayed their sluggish beginning in the world cup terming them as too much a defending team, this win is their biggest ever win known to me.

Specially for portugal, Tiago, Simoa, C.Ronaldo showed a treat to everyone who witnessed the game. Amazing game, great win.. and this makes portugal to have a strong position in the group throwing ivory coast for a must win situation in their match against korea.

FIFA 2010 – Argentina Vs Korea – Preview

This would be a real expected match after koreas performance in their first round with 2-0 against Greece. Most of the asian eyes would be on Lee jung soo who performed very well in their first match. On the other hand, the korean captain is also in tremendous form, Park Ji sung gave a stunning display of ball maneuvering talent in his match against greece.

On the other hand, the tournament favourites Argentina would be expecting to put some good show today evening against korea after their win against paraguay helped them to get a warm up and a coordination done and worked for their team. This match would be crucial to both teams to qualify directly to the next round. On the contrary Maradona would definitely want to show his talent as a coach in this match, after the latest controversy over the statement made by brazillian soccer player Pele about his coaching skills and the intention. Also the Argentinian boys would be very eager to prove to the entire world that they are not just a team but they are a benchmark team with their completeness in the soccer talent.

Diego Forlan – show his touch..

Yesterdays match saw a stunning performance from the Uruguay team. Specially speaking, Diego Forlan at his best. The first goal was a stunning one, surprising everyone including the SA goal keep khume. This match in the second half was filled with some stunning action from the Uruguay team, and the controversial decision by the umpire on the penalty kick and the red card to the SA goal keeper.

This puts uruguay in the strong position with 4 points, making my first prediction work well very happy to see that this FIFA world cup is going very interestingly and each match has its own surprises. Hoping to see the next play from mexico to see the fate of the others in this group.

Germany – Precision performance in the first round

It was a treat to watch the Germany Vs Australia Match as a German Fan. As they are known for their perfect, precision machinery, they showcased the same precison on the field too. Missing their captain Ballack, yet they showed the perfection of being a well matured world cup team. Luhm excellently headed the team and what a performance from the Germans in the entire match.

Australia on the other hand started with a big pulse from Garcia missing the first attempt on the goal. But other than that they were like a weak team fighting a war with well sophisticated army. The German midfielders surprised the Australians by coming in side the frontline in a very well executed plan during the match.

What a demonstration from Lucas Podolski, Miroslav Klose, Thomas Mueller and Cacau. Absolutely stunning quality. They will definitely through a very serious challenges to the Big Branded teams in this world cup..

FIFA 2010 – Argentina Vs Nigeria – Preview

The start for my favourites – Argentina with a decently strong side Nigeria. Match # 3 Day 2 of the FIFA world cup.

Argentina – The country known for their dedicated football talent and this year is all the more brilliant because of the form that Messi is in and the team is under the coach Diego Maradona, star himself and who has seen the similar situations in 3 world cups in good form – 1978, 1982 and the epitome of success 1986 world cup. this team is absolutely charged and I hope they would be going Romero in the poles. the current team allows them both the classic 4-4-2 combination and also 3-3-2-2 combination for the versatality of jonas gutierazz. So the Albicelestes are back and will be be back with a bang and can maradona be the carlos bilardo of 1986. Lets hope and wait and watch.

Uruguay – Their rivalry on the field with Argentina starts from the 1930 worldcup where they beat them 4-2. they have won the next worldcup in 1950 against brazil. Can they repeat the same form this worldcup? They have a good ammo in their team too.. no one can match the technical expertise and experience of nkankowa kanu. We cannot discount the ability of odemwingie and martins.

My predictions

I am not expert to judge between the legends. I am going very careful in taking a draw or a win with Argentina for this match.

FIFA 2010 – England Vs USA – Preview

To me its a one sider match. England in their current form can outbeat USA Very easily. Lets watch some strong points why its like that. Its a much anticipated match in this season (Match 5 )

England – We can name almost all the players as the stars and the team is in absolutely stunning form. Lets not discuss in detail about them, i will put the stars to be watched you will then know why I am favouring them

USA – My only hope on them is because of these players

FiFA 2010 – Uruguay Vs France – Preview

The first day double header. Match # 2

Another interesting combination for the football fans round the globe. A tight match to look for..

Uruguay – The team under oscar tabarez is all set to show their strength against France. they did a wonder in the practice match against israel that gave them the strategic plan to face the Strong French Team. The Star attack would basically be the duo attack of diego forlan and luis suarez. This is a definite threat to French team and hopefully Uruguay would bank on this duo much.

Stars to look out for – Diego Forlan, Luis Suarez

France – a surprising status of low profile and very low form for the team to begin their campaign in the season. They qualify after the famous Thierry henry handball show which enabled them to qualify for the worldcup. Not in good form, and all their key players are in bad form. They are considered a weak team by almost every analysts possible.

Stars to look out for – personally i hope these players gain their form – Eric Abidal, Gallas, Frank Ribery

I am taking a bold stand on Ribery and Abidal and hoping France to start their campaign with a victory (1-0) for france. Very ironical prediction an hope from all others because i really feel French team has that calibre to regain their form.

FIFA 2010 – South Africa Vs Mexico – Preview

The first match of the 2010 world cup, obviously would bring a great set of joy to the entire soccer community to see the bafana bafana boys playing against Mexico. Lets probably see what might be the activities that we can look forward for this season..

South Africa – Not much impressive couple of months back, but this changed after their 1-0 win against the Denmark. There is a new ray of “Hope” (Give me hope … joanna). this is not the overnight win the series of wins against guatemala, ghana, jamaica… 12 in a row makes them mentally a very strong team to start this world cup. More to this they have the entire SA behind them, home crowd support is always the biggest plus in matches like these.

Stars to watch for – katlego mphela, Teko Modise and the coach carlos parriera ‘s un predictable style of team attack

Mexico – This team were not that good in the qualifying rounds, they struggled a bit. But the change in the manager brought them the new hope. they are mostly known for their hard playing tactics that would put the fitness of the players in question. But they are quiet geared up for the world cup.

Stars to look out for – Rafael Marquez, Carlos Vela and I am personally expecting see rodrigous and salcido

Overall – a fantastic beginning match to watch.

My predictions

SA would win this match because of their running success and the home crowd advantage against Mexico
